7 minutes Read If you are reading this post you are probably one of those
people who can't write an article for one or two reasons. Either you doubt your
writing ability or your grammar. You may be thinking that you do not have
standard ideas or you need more information to write articles.
But that's fine. You should not feel alone in this as every
CSS candidate goes through it. It's a process for everyone. The majority of
people fail the article, about 95 to 98 percent. Have you ever wondered where
the problem is?

Sure, you can curse our education system, but we are not talking about that
today. We are not in a position to change the education system in the next few
months, but we are sure to develop the skill of writing essays. In today's post,
I will talk about my journey from not writing a single sentence to getting 47
marks in CSS, the people who failed, and the seven categories of people who
can't write an article. So before I start my discussion on issues and roadmap,
let me share my experience with essay writing. You can relate to it.
My 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘄𝗿𝘄𝘿 :
When I look back on 2009 and see the person who I was, it brings a smile and a
sense of accomplishment to my face. It was a time when I couldn't write. And
I'm not talking about subjects. No, I could not write a proper sentence, except
for one paragraph.

𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬:
Can you believe that the first paragraph I started with was
"Parrot"? This may sound strange and the subject matter is childish,
but it is the same. My hand was shaking and my pen was shaking. Therefore, if
you are a beginner, never judge your writing by people who are constantly
writing. Encourage, that's fine, but don't compare your skills to theirs.
Compare your today's writing with your yesterday's writing. Don't aim to defeat
the gain. Try to push yourself first.

So, how did I start
improving? It was a simple habit. I started writing day and night. Coming from
a government school and being the son of a teacher who had always been like
Mahavir Singh Phugat of Dingal, I already had a strong grasp on the situation
and usage. Therefore, that part of the writing was already covered.

Now I started reading
how to write. Although there was no specific blog or book about writing for CSS
at the time, I had to resort to the only reliable source, the CSS Forum
website. This was before the rise of Facebook and WhatsApp. Today when I look
at so many Facebook pages and WhatsApp groups and feel that if it were my time
I would never pass CSS. Too many pages and groups divert you from your goal.
Try to stick to a maximum of three standard pages or groups. Chicken forbidden
in two mullahs.

After reading a few posts about how to write the first thing I did was read the Dawn
editorials and rewrite them in our own words. From there, I started reading
articles from JWT and trying to write them in my own words. Although it did
benefit me at first, after a few weeks I was not getting better. I hit the
plateau from which I was no longer rising.

Circumstances and events got me involved in COMEX ACADEMY, where I met my mentor. This is where I learned to write essays correctly. Rather than learning the technicalities of the subject, I was given the confidence to write. Look, this is more confidence than you need in grasping the mechanics of writing. If you have a mentor whose sole focus is to teach you what the paragraph looks like, and your connection, attachment, trust and confidence does not meet your human needs, I would advise you Will you change your teacher? A good mentor can guarantee your success.

First, I learned to write paragraphs. I practiced it for about a month. I checked my things regularly. Exercise made me focus on the things I missed. Then I started writing an extension of the idea. Then I thought to myself, "Yeah, I can do it now." Two months after the idea was expanded, I wrote my first article on climate change. I first read extensively about it, sketched it out, and started writing. It took me four hours to finish it, but I still finished it. It was a big leap for me. I know the article wasn't right, but it was enough to give me confidence.

But I did not let the feeling of inferiority overwhelm me. Instead, I planned to write another article, then another, then again, then again. And so, in two years I wrote about 15 subjects before my exam. Although I don't have those articles, I lost them in the meantime, or someone took them away from me, but I still have the writing skills. For almost five years, I didn't write anything special. But now I have started writing again with the same confidence.

You don't need big
ideas, nor do you need information, statistics and references. I did not use a
single quote or reference in my article. Incredible? It may be, but it is true.
With the exception of basic grammar, which is important, you don't have to
worry about sentence structure or the development of your language.
There was not a word in my entire article that was unfamiliar to a public school eighth grader. Check out all of my blogs, and you'll probably find one or two words you don't know about. My philosophy is to keep your sentences and words simple. Focus more on the flow than the weight of the words. Write short but crisp sentences. I have seen my friends fail in CSS because they resorted to words in their writings.
𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲:
Therefore, the most
important thing is that writing an article is not as difficult as one often
thinks. Yes, there are some technical features that need to be worked on. But
don't use it as an excuse to avoid writing. How do you know about technology if
you can't write it? Write on your own, or find a mentor, whatever suits you.
But please keep writing.
